Steele's Island is a unique, privately owned island, totally surrounded by sandy shores, in the popular southern beaches area on the picturesque south east coast of Tasmania. It is easily accessible by vehicle at all times of the year via a causeway and small bridge – no ferries, no necessary flights.
Serenity, seclusion and privacy are created by the sheltered bay on one side of the island and the picturesque Carlton River Estuary, Carlton Bluff and Carlton Beach on the other. Hobart’s majestic Mount Wellington can be seen in the distance across Frederick Henry Bay, providing a truly scenic backdrop.
