Captain Cook Holiday Park in the heart of Adventure Bay, which is located on Southern Bruny Island, is the perfect location to base yourself whilst exploring the many attractions Bruny has to offer. Bruny Island is located off the south-eastern coast of Tasmania and is accessed by a vehicular ferry which departs from Kettering, a 40 minute drive south of Hobart. Our park is directly opposite the beach with its white sand and sky blue sea and it isn’t uncommon to see pods of dolphin and migrating whales in the Bay. The park itself is home to some local wildlife including our resident white wallabies and the bird life is abundant with people travelling from all over the world to see them. The award winning Bruny Eco Boat cruise departure point is an easy 1km walk from our park and a further 1/2 km will bring you to the start of South Bruny National Park with its scenic walking tracks. The well-stocked Adventure Bay Store is a stone throw away as is the Bruny Bowls Club with their popular Friday night meals. In fact there are many culinary temptations on Bruny all within an easy drive from our park. Two Bedroom Cabins These family cabins are fully self-contained with a separate queen bedroom and a double bed and bunks in the other bedroom. They have full kitchen facilities and a bathroom with unlimited gas heated hot water. The lounge and dining area has reverse cycle air conditioning and each cabin has a large covered deck for alfresco dining. Parking for 2 x cars or 1 x car and boat next to the cabin.
One Bedroom Villas Our villas have prime position on the beachside overlooking Adventure Bay. Each has a large deck with its own barbecue and is surrounded by beautiful native gardens attracting birds of every type. They have a queen bedroom, modern bathroom with separate shower bay and a fully equipped kitchen including a coffee machine. The lounge and dining area overlook the deck and have water views. Each villa has its own parking bay.
