Mandala is a holiday house in a waterfront setting on Bruny Island, in Southern Tasmania. It is set on five acres of private bushland with magnificent coastal views.
Mandala is generously equipped and tastefully decorated to suit families, groups or couples wanting 'home-away-from-home' comforts.
It has a modern kitchen with dishwasher, an open plan living area with wood stove, television/DVD/stereo, four comfortable bedrooms sleeping ten people, a generous bathroom, and a separate laundry and bathroom.
There is a front verandah and spacious deck, a gas barbecue, a games shed with sea kayaks, table tennis, and other recreational equipment, plus covered carport. The garden blends into the surrounding bushland, where there's a children's cubby house with an assortment of toys.
The sea kayaks provided can be launched at the mouth of the creek in front of the house, within easy carrying distance.
There are a host of things to do; short walks, an eco-cruise to see the cliffs, islands and marine life off the southern coast, visit the Bligh Museum, and Cape Bruny Lighthouse, the second oldest in Australia, at dusk see fairy penguins come ashore at The Neck Reserve. Try some local gourmet produce; smoked salmon, oysters, cherries.
